Governor's School has always been a place of enormous possibility. For many students, it is a preview of the world beyond high school. During an intense Charleston summer, students with recognized potential are exposed to courses, ideas, and instructors they may have never encountered in their hometowns. They defend, explore, and reconsider their ideas about how the world works. They find kindred souls from throughout the state who also consider these issues in creative, thoughtful ways. Perhaps most importantly, they discover that there remains much to be done in the world and in their own communities. To put it simply, they stretch.
